Как стало известно, Организация экономического сотрудничества и развития (ОЭСР) объявила о том, что Вануату был вычеркнут из черного списка юрисдикций. Это событие стало следствием заявления Вануату о внедрении мер против пагубной налоговой инициативы.
«ОЭСР приветствует обязательство Вануату, направленное на улучшение прозрачности налогов и регуляторной системы страны, что позволит к 31 декабря 2005 года установить эффективный обмен информацией по налоговым вопросам со странами ОЭСР», — говорится в докладе Организации.
Принятие таких мер впервые в практике обеспечит Вануату выход из черного списка ОЭСР. Кроме этого, страна станет 32 участником, не входящим в ОЭСР, принявшим обязательства по многосторонним принципам обмена налоговой информацией.
В списке организации все еще остаются шесть юрисдикций: Андорра, Лихтенштейн, Либерия, Монако, Острова Маршалл и Науру.
